Did a bunch of research on washers and one site had a review where the owner called a co. for a replacement part and was told that the parts to this unit being made out of plastic and rubber should not be run for more than 30 minutes at a time otherwise you have possibility of burn out. I did not find this info. ANYWHERE else after a couple of hours of research. I think this is the reason for a lot of these reviewers having problems. I am about to buy this but cannot post this unless I have a rating. So my rating is not really valid until I own it for over a year. Hope this helps all the future buyers.

Save your money. I bought this Karcher power washer, and it broke in less than a year.

My wife got me one about 4 years ago. I've used it to clean concrete, decking and fences and to knock down wasp nests. It worked just fine for a light-duty unit. Just remember that although 1800 psi sounds like a lot, it really isn't. It is enough to strip paint or stain from wood if you go slowly and hold the (correct) tip 2-4 inches from the surface. So, don't be in a hurry.
Mine just died. It sounds like it wants to work, but no pressure. My guess is that a belt or some kind of connector broke. That's this weekend's minor project: disassemble the pressure washer and see if it is repairable.

Expensive but cheaply made

I bought the 1600 psi version, but basically they're the same units. The Vario wand is pretty useless, I get more pressure from my garden hose. When I would turn it to the MAX position, it would just give me a trickle instead of higher pressure. The 0 degree wand does work well however and yields good pressure.
The hose is made of cheap plastic which will not lay flat, as a result, when you move the wand around the hose kinks blocking the water flow (picture bending a straw in half), very annoying. The garden hose attachment piece feels rather flimsy like it could be easily broken.
The second time (the last time) I used it, the pressure would fluctuate up and down for no apparent reason. Before you buy this unit, you owe it to yourself to take a ride to a home improvement store and look at the competition - note the material that the hoses are made of and how flexible they are, as well as the fittings and connectors. The differences will be pretty obvious.
There are much better units on the market, look for one with a rubber spray hose that doesn't kink and solid fittings that aren't likely to break. This unit is not worth the money, I returned it.

Wife bought me the predecessor to this model a couple of years ago. Starting to have issues with the high pressure during this third year. Have to take wand off & pull trigger for a moment & then put wand back on. Sometimes it works & sometimes not. Mainly used for power washing vinyl siding. Must be within 1 or 2 feet to do much good. I guess I should be happy it lasted this long. Did what I needed it to do.
